This bill would change the U.S. Constitution to require that all future members of the House and Senate be natural born citizens. This means U.S. citizens who were not born in the country would no longer be able to serve in Congress. Current members who are not natural born citizens could finish their terms but could not run again.

This bill would end the government's ability to waive or reduce fees for most people applying for U.S. citizenship. Currently, the Department of Homeland Security can offer these fee reductions. If passed, only military service members and veterans applying under specific rules would still be eligible for such help.
