Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 1501) to amend the FAST Act to include certain mineral production activities as a covered project, and for other purposes; providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 9436) to amend the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 to extend the time period for which certain regulations concerning the North Atlantic right whale are effective; providing for consideration of the resolution (H. This bill would make it much harder for people to claim asylum in the U.S. by changing eligibility rules and increasing the standard for proving fear. It would also create new criminal and civil penalties for people who overstay their visas. Additionally, the bill changes how unaccompanied children are handled at the border and allows for indefinite detention of families.

This bill would make hospitals that get government money ask patients about their immigration status on forms. Hospitals would then send reports every three months with total patient immigration numbers to two government departments. If hospitals do not follow these rules, they could lose their government funding.

This bill would restart border wall construction immediately and make it much harder for people to claim asylum in the U.S., especially if they traveled through other countries. It would also limit who can be granted temporary entry (parole) into the U.S. and increase the number of Border Patrol agents and technology at the border.
